H&M has unveiled a new raft of brand ambassadors -- recruited from among its own employees.
The fast fashion giant has rolled out a new ambassador program in the United States called 'H&M Insiders,' which will see 15 staff members from its stores and offices across the country appointed to ambassadorial roles for a period of one year. According to the brand, they were selected based on their "content, personality, location, brand values, and style."
"The employees taking part in the yearlong partnership represent a diverse mix of the nearly 16,000 H&M employees across the country, showing that H&M is a workplace where you are encouraged to be yourself and dress your personality, no matter what that is," the company said in a statement.
Each ambassador has curated a selection of H&M pieces allowing customers to shop their style via a dedicated web page. The site also lists the Instagram handles of the new ambassadors so that fashion fans can follow them online.
This isn't the first time H&M staff have actively participated in campaigns and initiatives for the brand. In March, the company celebrated Women's History Month with a video series featuring women at H&M speaking about themes of leadership, mentorship, hope and the future, with male employees joining in to discuss the topic of gender equality. A February campaign called 'H&M Loves NY,' which was dedicated to New York, also featured some of the company's employees.
