As part of the initiative, select Walmart stores near nine regional recreation areas throughout the country will carry Hanesbrands' 'ComfortWash' t-shirts that generate an unspecified percentage of funds for the NPF, the official non-profit partner of the National Park Service. The nine chosen areas include Acadia National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, Grand Canyon National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Olympic National Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Yosemite National Park and Zion National Park.

The collection’s range of crewneck t-shirts are made with 100% American-grown cotton from U.S. farms, Hanes said, and will feature a special logo created by Hanes and the NPF. The shirts will retail at a suggested price of $15.96.

“We are committed to being an apparel industry leader in environmental stewardship and social responsibility,” said Rachel Newman, vice president and general manager of Hanes activewear. “Through this partnership we are focused on inspiring more people to embrace, visit, support and protect our national park treasures.”

Hanes and NPF first launched a five-year partnership in April 2018 to encourage awareness, exploration and conservation of America’s parks. According to the apparel company, the partnership will generate at least $4 million for NPF to support U.S. national parks and feature apparel from the company’s Hanes, Alternative and ComfortWash brands.
