Haspel names Will Swillie EVP, Managing Director

Haspel on Friday announced the appointment of Will Swillie as Executive Vice President, Managing Director. He assumed the role in October 2016.
 

Swillie joins Haspel after serving as VP, Divisional Merchandise Manager at Stein Mart where he was responsible for spearheading the $160 million Men’s Sportswear business. He also played a central role in elevating the Michael Kors business to $6 million in just three years.
 
Prior to Stein Mart, Swillie served as Division President at JCPenney, Buyer at Ralph Lauren, Men’s Tailored Clothing Buyer at Neiman Marcus, and Director Brand Management at Rue La La.

Swillie kicked off his career in Louisiana where Haspel is based. Joseph Haspel Sr. launched his namesake company in New Orleans to create clothing suited for the heat. The 107-year-old company re-launched in 2014 and is led by Laurie Haspel, the fourth generation of the family to run the company.
