Holt Renfrew uncrates Southeast Asia for H project

Canadian luxury retailer Holt Renfrew is turning its attention towards Southeast Asia for the fifth edition of its ‘uncrate a culture’ initiative.

H Project shops, located inside Holt Renfrew’s across Canada, will be transformed into Uncrate Southeast Asia boutiques now until mid-summer, and offer a capsule collection of products that are socially conscious.
 
“This season we’re celebrating the vibrant artisans of Southeast Asia—from dreamy embroidery, to woven wonders, to breezy dresses and more,” explained Alexandra Weston, Holt Renfrew’s Divisional Vice President of Brand & Creative Strategy. 

The collection includes apparel, handbags and accessories, jewellery, and homeware curated from 6 countries in the region including Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Laos, and Papua New Guinea. 
 
Socially responsible products from almost 20 brands will be available. New this year, swimwear can be found in the mix including by Thailand designer Angelys Balek, alongside activewear by Girlfriend Collective and jewellery by John hardy. Other brands on display include Kayu, Kalita, and The Brave Collection, to name a few. 

The annual partnering takes place with designers from various regions of the world. Past Uncrate a Culture programs included India in 2014, Africa in 2015, South America in 2016 and Canada in 2017.
 
Holt Renfrew’s Uncrate Southeast Asia will be available in store at Bloor Street, Yorkdale, Square One, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and on HoltRenfrew.com.
