Hudson Blvd. to open first multi-brand store in New York

Multi-brand beauty service company Hudson Blvd. Group announced this week that it will open its first multi-brand store in New York in June.

 
Formed in 2015 through a merger between Spruce & Bond and Rachel Zoe’s DreamDry, Hudson Blvd. owns and operates a portfolio of specialty retail service brands.
 
The multi-brand store, which will be located in Scarsdale, NY, will offer services from all HBG brands, including makeup brand Pucker, and will carry the Rachel Zoe Collection.  In addition, DreamDry and Spruce & Bond will brand the store’s beauty destination.

Moraetes expects the HBG portfolio to thrive thanks to the deconstructed salon format that has allowed boutique brands to perform well.
 
"We're reconstructing the outdated full-service salon concept with a modern, innovative solution. The traditional salon provided clients with a full suite of services but often lacked excellence across their offerings,” said Moraetes. 
 
“Convenience was at the forefront, but, over time, our consumer increasingly placed more value on specialty providers that offered a premium service in an express format. The deconstructed salon has enabled many boutique brands to thrive, but our consumer wants the best of both worlds -- specialized brands that they are passionate about, with the convenience of completing their beauty regimen all in one place."
 
The store opening announcement comes weeks after DreamDry said it would open hair salons at Neiman Marcus’ Atlanta and Las Vegas stores. Addition Hudson Blvd. brands and services will join Neiman Marcus stores in early 2018.
