Canadian made-to-measure men’s apparel company Indochino is entering new product categories with the launch of business-casual pants and overcoats.

The product expansion is just the beginning for the company, according to Indochino’s President and CEO, Drew Green: “We believe that the future of fashion and apparel will be defined by perfect fitting, fully customized clothing. The launch of made-to-measure chinos marks the start of a multi-year product strategy to offer one-of-a-kind garments across almost all categories of apparel.”

Building on the success of its made-to-measure suiting, first launched in 2007 as an online retailer before opening its first permanent bricks-and-mortar location in 2014, the Vancouver-based company will now offer customers the option to customize chinos and overcoats at its showrooms located across North America.

Among the options, customers can choose between several coloured fabrics to customize their chinos, as well as a variety of pocket types, hems and crease options, followed by several measurements and fit options.

Similarly, revamped overcoats will be comprised of a luxurious wool/cashmere blend with several colours to choose from, available in single or double-breasted choices, with customization options including buttons, lining and monograms.

Chinos will retail for $79 USD/$99 CAD, while overcoats will go for $399 USD/$529 CAD.

“There’s been a lot of love for chinos recently, but casual pants made just the way you like really are extraordinary”, added Dean Handspiker, VP design and store development.

“It’s incredibly exciting for everyone at the company globally — our custom chinos and overcoats mark the next chapter of our ongoing expansion, and I can't wait to see the response from new and existing customers alike."

The company said it plans to announce more new product lines ahead of the 2018 holiday shopping season, and into 2019.

The company has been growing at record speed having seen an increase in revenue of over 50 percent for the second consecutive year in 2017. Today, it boosts 34 showrooms in the United States and Canada with more on the way.
