Following the opening in the Netherlands of Isabel Marant's 28th store in May last year, the label, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is putting the pedal to the metal this year with its retail development. Having arrived at 37 company-owned stores in the space of just a few months, the label opened stores in Lyon, Barcelona and Brussels on 22 February, 8 March and 19 March respectively. Located at 7 rue Auguste-Comte in Brussels, 32 Paseo De Gracia in Barcelona and 63 boulevard de Waterloo in Lyon, the stores are spread across spaces of 150, 200 and 110 square metres.

Isabel Marant, which opened a new flagship last July on the rue Saint-Honoré in Paris' central district, the first arrondissement, is also readying the opening of its first menswear store. It will open in the Marais district before the autumn, FashionNetwork.com has learned.

Launched at the Spring/ Summer 2018 runway, Isabel Marant's menswear line was made possible by the investment in the label from the Montefiore fund. Since 2016 it has helf a 51% stake in the label, while the rest is held by the designer and her historic associates Sophie Duruflé and Nathalie Chemouny. At the time of the investment, the turnover of the brand was 150 million euros.

Over the next six months, Isabel Marant is planning to maintain its momentum: London, Monegasque, Mexican and Munich locations are already in the pipeline. These will be the first locations for the label in Germany and Mexico.
