Jason Wu will launch his new Jason Wu Grey line in June, and to promote the upcoming launch, the Taiwanese Canadian designer partnered with Pantone to develop a new shade of Grey that will be exclusive to his women’s contemporary label.

Wu took to social media to unveil the new shade and explain the inspiration behind it.  “Inspired by the color of your favorite t-shirt @jasonwu collaborated with @pantone to create our very own custom shade of GREY. Comprised of 90% white and a hint of blue it's the perfect shade to live in.”

The New York City-based designer took to social media in April to announce his new Jason Wu Grey label that he describes as the affordable sister line to his namesake women’s ready-to-wear and accessories label. The new line is named after Wu’s favorite color and is born from his desire to dress his friends.

Wu said, "As the Jason Wu collection evolved over the last few years, I felt that there was room for a sister collection that very much addressed the needs of women who look for a beautiful, seasonless wardrobe that is neither too edgy or sweet.”

Grey Jason Wu will range in price from $295 to $1,395.
