Canadian womenswear brand Judith & Charles reopened its newly designed Rockland Centre boutique last month, unveiling a minimalist space where the clothes are front and center.
The 1569-square-foot store was updated to reflect the brand’s timeless and elegant appeal by applying a light colour palette throughout the store. Subtle material choices have also been used including grey stone, walnut and marble-patterned porcelain floor tiling.
The space, designed by Architem Wolff Shapiro Kuskowski architects, also includes a thoughtful lighting system and a hanging system that is virtually invisible.
Meanwhile, to enhance the shopping experience, Judith & Charles is merging retail with digital by including an in-store tablet where customers can access the brand's styling vision and inspirations.
Like Judith & Charles stores in Toronto and Halifax, the space accommodates collaborations with local artists with an upcoming collaboration set to launch early Summer 2019.
Designed by Judith Richardson and Charles Le Pierrès, Judith & Charles has been based in Montreal, Quebec since 1990. The company currently has 11 stores across Canada and is also sold through select retailers like Holt Renfrew and Simons.
Most recently, it opened a new store in Halifax.
