Paul Frank is known for creating Julius the Monkey as well as a whole cast of friendly and fun characters for PFI. PFI was founded in 1995 in Huntington Beach, CA, and grew to global acclaim as a lifestyle brand for children and young-hearted adults.

In his new role, Paul Frank will work on the PFI brand, as well as to develop characters for Saban Brands’ other properties which include Cirque du Soleil and the Power Rangers.

“When I started sewing Julius wallets back in 1995, I had no idea how popular the character and brand would become,” said Frank. “Julius and all of the Paul Frank characters are a part of me, which is why it’s such an amazing feeling to reunite with them. I’m excited to join the Saban Brands family and see what the future holds.”

PFI showed its Spring/Summer children’s 2016 line at NY Fashion Week back in September of last year. The show revealed a new, more fashion-focused look for the brand.

Dan Castle, Managing Director of Saban Brands Lifestyle Group said, “as we continue to evolve the PFI brand, we couldn’t think of a better talent to join our team. We are so excited to have Paul on board and look forward to his contributions and what’s to come for PFI and beyond.”
