Kith and American digital media company Bleacher Report opened on Wednesday a sports-inspired pop up shop named BR99 that celebrates athletes and activewear.
The BR99 pop up features a neon basketball hoop and small bleachers in green and yellow to represent sports and sporting events, and Kith’s signature interior design with black floors and white hanging fixtures.
Kith and Bleacher Report collaborative products are available at the 79 Greene Street pop up, including the Kith x BR99 collection and Kith Treats x BR99 ice cream and cereal. Two cereal and ice cream specials named The Benny, curated by Ben Simmons, and the BR99, curated by Bleacher Report, are currently available in store. The pop up will also exclusively launch Kith’s 4th of July collection on June 27.
The 4th of July collection features sporty pieces in a navy, white and red color palette that greatly resembles the Team USA basketball team jerseys from the 2000 Summer Olympic games in Sydney. Pieces include the Jackson Pullover Jersey, Raleigh Baseball Jersey, and Colby Mesh shorts all made with custom-milled perforated mesh jersey, as well as lightweight jersey tees, micro-ripstop nylon windbreakers, and all-new headwear made in collaboration with New Era.
David Finocchio, Alexander Freund, Bryan Goldberg, and David Nemetz founded Bleacher Report in 2007. The four friends had been high school classmates at Menlo School in Atherton, California. The company was sold to Turner Broadcasting System, a subsidiary of Time Warner, in 2012.
The BR99 pop up will be open through June 30.
