The partnership will bring an assortment of both men's and women's styles to 200 Kohl's stores, with an expanded assortment available online. Footwear will include styles across all categories, including casual, dress, seasonal and sport styles -- tapping into Kohl's growing activewear category, which has come to account for about 20% of the company's total sales.

The Kohl's assortment will have an emphasis on innovative casual lifestyle products, Kohl's said.

"Cole Haan will complement our current assortment of top national brands,” said Doug Howe, Kohl’s chief merchandising officer.

“We know customers look to Kohl’s as an accessible destination for great value and their favorite brands, and we’re proud to offer such a well-regarded and premium brand as Cole Haan as we continue to evolve our product portfolio and further establish Kohl’s as a trusted leader for the active and casual lifestyle.”

“As a leader in national brands, as well as innovation, customer service and technology, Kohl’s is an incredible retail partner for our casual lifestyle assortment," added David Maddocks, brand president of Cole Haan.

"We see this partnership as an excellent way to increase the accessibility of the Cole Haan brand.”

Cole Haan joins other brands in the Kohl's portfolio including Nike, Under Armour, adidas, Columbia, Carter’s and Levi’s, as well as Lands’ End and Toms shoes, which launched earlier this fall. In early September, Kohl's also launched the Adidas x Zoe Saldana collection of women's activewear apparel, footwear and accessories.

Also in September, Kohl's announced its decision to reduce its corporate workforce by 15%, in an effort to cut costs during the Covid-19 pandemic.
