L’Oréal USA has named Megan Grant as the new president of its Luxe division.

Megan Grant is the new president of L’Oréal USA's Luxe division - L'Oreal

She succeeds Xavier Vey, who has been promoted to the role of general manager of the Western Europe zone for the Luxe division. Both changes are effective July 1, 2019.

Grant first joined L’Oréal in 2002 as a marketing manager for L’Oréal Paris. In 2009, she transferred to the Luxe division as vice president of U.S. marketing for Kiehl’s, later being promoted to deputy general manager in 2013. The following year, she joined The Body Shop as U.S. general manager before returning to Kiehl’s in 2017 as U.S. brand president.

In April of this year, L’Oréal Group reported that its Luxe division performed well for the first quarter of 2019, led by its four major brands - Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani and Kiehl’s - all of which posted more than 15 percent growth. The company noted the division’s particular strength in Asia and travel retail.

Vey, who joined L’Oréal in 1998, came to L’Oréal USA in 2013 as president of Lancôme’s U.S. business, where he advanced the brand above $1 billion in sales. Vey has led the Luxe division in the U.S. since 2016, where he helped to grow the division’s e-commerce and omni-channel strategy. Under his leadership, L’Oréal’s fragrance portfolio became number one in the category.

Ginny Wright will succeed Grant as U.S. brand president of Kiehl’s. Wright is currently the global deputy general manager of Ralph Lauren Fragrances.
