The appointment comes as part of the retailer’s continued focus to drive a consistent customer experience across the business, Lands’ End said in a press release. In her new role, Rasmusen will lead customer experience activities for the company across all selling channels. She will also be responsible for developing all strategies and plans related to leveraging and deploying customer-facing capabilities across these channels.

The new chief customer officer first joined Lands’ End in 2006, as director of internet merchandising. Prior to joining Lands’ End, Rasmusen served as vice president of digital merchandising, optimization and analytics for Kohl’s for six years. She previously was with CUNA Mutual Group as its senior manager of consumer web strategy.

"As we further develop our uni-channel distribution model, we will continue to focus on creating a consistent, high-quality, seamless customer experience across channels to enhance our customer connection whenever, wherever and however our customer chooses to shop," said Jerome Griffith, chief executive officer and president of Lands' End.

The addition of Rasmusen follows the April opening of a Lands’ End store in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
