Effective January 20, Neuburger will be responsible for leading the marketing, creative, communications and sustainability functions of the company’s global brand and storytelling initiatives.

Reporting to chief executive officer, Calvin McDonald, she equally joins the company’s senior leadership team.

Neuburger joins Lululemon from Uber, where she served as global head of marketing for Uber Eats for the past two years and led the introduction and expansion of the brand across five regions in 36 countries. Prior to that, she spent 14 years at Nike, most recently serving as the company’s global vice president of Nike Running.

“Nikki is an innovative marketing leader with a proven track record of building and scaling global brands, making her the ideal person to become Lululemon’s first chief brand officer,” said McDonald.

“Her years of experience in the athletic industry, paired with her deep expertise in digital marketing, consumer insights and brand creative, will be instrumental as we build upon our momentum and deliver on our 'Power of Three' growth strategy.”

Last month, the company said it expects to earn between $2.10 and $2.13 per share in the fourth quarter, while analysts on average had expected $2.13.

For the third quarter ended Nov. 3, total comparable sales rose 17 percent on a constant currency basis.

Lululemon said it again expects comparable sales to rise in the low double digits in the fourth quarter.
