Luxury retailer Xhibition opens in Detroit’s Capitol Park

Cleveland-based luxury streetwear store is expanding out of Ohio with the opening of its first store in downtown Detroit. 

The 4,000-square-foot store opened in the Farwell Building in the Capitol Park neighborhood and offers shoppers a mix of women’s and men’s apparel, footwear, lifestyle items, and home goods. Xhibition carries brands such as Adidas, Air Jordan, Off-White, Stüssy, and more. 

The Farwell Building is eight-stories and was originally built in 1915 by Jesse Farwell. It reopened in July 2019 following a $42-million historic renovation by Capitol Park Partnership in Detroit. The building includes residential, office and commercial space. 

“We selected Detroit as the first location outside of Northeast Ohio for many reasons,” said Robert Rosenthal, co-founder of Xhibition, in a press release. “There is a sophisticated fashion ecosystem in Detroit that few cities possess, as well as a definitive sense of energy and growth.”

Xhibition first opened in 2014 to offer high-end luxury with experimental streetwear. It now operates two stores in Ohio, while its latest location marks its first location outside of its home state.
