SustainU, a producer of apparel made from 100 percent recycled materials, announced on Thursday its licensed partnership with Major League Baseball for the 2016 season.
The MLB by SustainU line represents teams from the National and American Leagues and consists of fashion and outdoor adventure-inspired graphics. The collection aims to resonate with a new generation of fans that advocate sustainability, outdoor conversation and related social values.
"We are so proud to launch our new line of products with Major League Baseball," said Chris Yura, founder and CEO of SustainU. "We represent American Craftsmanship, innovation and localized production. This pairs perfectly with America's Pastime and we're excited to showcase our collection online and in stadiums around the country."
The Appalachian-based company produces apparel using fabrics made from 100% recycled materials that are manufactured in the US. During the production process, the company reduces environmental waste, carbon emissions, and water use.
The new SustainU, MLB line is available now in stadiums and on the SustainU and MLB websites.
