Congdon, who most recently served as Vice President of Men’s Design at Calvin Klein Underwear, will oversee Mack Weldon’s design team and product offering. He will play a key role in upgrading and expanding the brand’s core underwear, sock and t-shirt lines, and in the consideration and implementation of new categories.

At Calvin Klein Underwear, Congdon lead global design and product development and oversaw the launches of the Air Fx and Intense Power collections. The industry expert also worked at J. Crew, Perry Ellis, Nautica and Club Monaco early in his 19-year career, and served as Design Director of Men’s Knits at Uniqlo from 2006 to 2012. During his tenure, he helped launch Uniqlo’s AIRism and Heattech collections.

The appointment comes as Mack Weldon celebrates its millionth unit shipped. Founded in 2012 by Brian Berger and Michael Issacman, Mack Weldon manufactures, designs and distributes underwear, socks, t-shirts and a limited range of wardrobe essentials. The company is on pace to double its revenue this year.
