Parisian fashion label Rabih Kayrouz has added to its range by introducing a ready-to-wear line of wedding dresses. The eponymous Lebanese designer, well-known for his architectural, subtly sophisticated cuts, fêted the new line's launch on Wednesday evening at the L’Eclaireur concept store, in rue Boissy-d’Anglas, Paris.

A dozen Rabih Kayrouz wedding dresses, distinctive for their pared-down design blending rigour with a poetic touch, will be available exclusively for six months at L’Eclaireur, the multibrand fashion retailer founded by Armand and Martine Hadida. The line will then be available at Rabih Kayrouz’s two boutiques, in Beirut and Paris, and at other select retailers.

Kayrouz works between Beirut and Paris, where he set up his fashion label and shows his collections since 2009. He designed other wedding dresses in the past, but they were bespoke couture models. High demand convinced Kayrouz to launch a fully fledged line, with prices ranging from €2,000 to €15,000, said a spokesperson for the label.

Before launching this bridal line, Kayrouz launched a jewellery collection two seasons ago.

Kayrouz is in his forties and was born in Lebanon. He studied fashion at the school of the Paris Chambre Syndicale De La Couture, and did internships at Dior and Chanel. He then returned to his native country, creating unique items for a local clientèle between 1998 and 2008. In 2009, he returned to Paris to set up his own label and atelier, located at 38 boulevard Raspail.
