Last December, the Mameg concept store, located in Beverly Hills next to the Maison Margiela boutique, closed its doors, leaving the Jil Sander boutique to prepare for its opening.

Before the announcement of a new address, Mameg's store set up for an indeterminate pop-up at 357 North La Brea. A sublime art-deco building still occupied by the designer and jeweler Sonia Boyajian and whose former space dedicated to art exhibitions and ceramic workshops has been proposed to host Mameg.

For her first pop-up, Mameg designer Sonia Eram collaborated with the Paris and Berlin-based design studio Bless, Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag, dressing the space with a giant photograph of their art project at the historic Neutra VDL Studio in Los Angeles.

Originally known as fashion designers, the Bless duo had been invited in 2018 for a residency at Neutra VDL Studio and collaborated with the brand Kavadrat and VS, the current manufacturer of Neutra's original furniture designs, in order to revisit the VDL House with textile interventions and new Bless versions of Neutra's furniture.

Extending the Bless' art photography with the same curtains used during their residency at the VDL house, Mameg's décor finds a new contemporary elegance, with the duo's creations, including this concrete-framed armchair, adding a poetic and artistic note to the space.

On the racks and the large zigzagging table, shoppers will find the clothing and accessories brands distributed by Mameg, including collections by Jil Sander as well as Marni, Lutz Huelle and Walter Van Beirendonck.
