The El Segundo, CA based company was founded in 1997 and gained industry recognition for its well known high performance yoga gear. Made For Yoga is its first foray into the apparel side of the yoga world.

"Before we sketched our first design, we asked ourselves, does the world need another line of activewear? The short answer was yes," said Sky Meltzer, CEO of Manduka.

Meltzer says, "Yoga practitioners need apparel that is very specific, and technically crafted for the practice, which includes inversions and a broad range of motion. They need a line that is made for yoga – offering less distraction on the mat and more focus on the powerful results that come with a good practice."

The collection features a sustainability focus expected to come out of a yoga brand, with the materials used for the apparel coming from recycled polyester, organic cotton, hemp, Tencel & Modal and Sorona.

The brand describes the line as “fashion-forward with its priority in function.” The activewear line includes pants, bras, tops and “specialty pieces for the après yoga lifestyle.”

Manduka will be launching a digital activation starting on February 9, 2016, where yogis can share their own #MadeForYoga stories and have a chance to win Manduka product. The focus of the social media campaign will be to highlight “the powerful stories of transformation through yoga.”
