Manish Arora has settled upon Paris to open his first flagship store. The Indian designer, who for many years has been associated with the French capital, where he has shown since 2007 and which he considers his "second home" after New Delhi, has chosen 5 rue Rouget-de-Isle (1st arrondissement), between the Tuileries Gardens and rue Saint-Honoré.

The new location will feature sales space, exhibition area and show room, according to the brand.

After opening a corner at the Galeries Lafayette and a pop up store at the Galerie Joyce in Palais-Royal in 2013, Manish Arora has now taken the plunge in opening its first monobrand store.

With two display windows, the store covers an area of 1,000 ft2. Designed by the Milanese-Parisian agency Riccardo Haiat, with colored glass dividers and the combination of pink and gold featuring in all the designers collections, the store manages to mix Manish Arora’s striking, colorful universe with an elegant and refined style, in an almost circus-like atmosphere with rows of volumes, according to the press release.

The store houses Manish Arora ready-to-wear, accessories, some pieces from the Manish Arora Indian line, which has until now been reserved for the Indian market alone, as well as some of the designer’s favorite object, set up in the manner of a chic bazaar (Varanasi toys, artwork, etc.).

At the back, the store will host private events, dinners and exhibitions, while the showroom adjoins the space.
