Set on attracting more of the trendy, gilded youth into its stores, American chain Macy’s seems to have decided to use H&M’s (successful) strategy of launching affordable collections in collaboration with various renowned designers, including Karl Lagerfeld, whose line for Macy’s is expected to come out in Autumn. Meanwhile, customers will be able to get their hands on the line created by British designer Matthew Williamson, available from April 13th in 225 stores.

The capsule collection will consist of around 30 pieces: dresses, jumpsuits, overalls, leather jackets and printed scarves. As for cost, Macy’s announced a starting price of around 40 euros, which can go up to 250 euros for a jacket, although this is still not an excessive amount to pay for a clothing item containing a Mathew Williamson label. In fact, H&M has already shown how successful these collaborations can be, after having done one with the British designer himself, as well as Karl Lagerfeld
