Moores Clothing for Men announced on Tuesday that its seventh annual Canadian Suit Drive collected a record-breaking number of items.

The initiative which concluded at the end of July collected over 77,000 articles of gently used men's and women's professional attire at 126 Moores stores across Canada. The items collected will be distributed to over 60 recipient organizations across the country to give to job seekers in need.

"Dressing well builds confidence, confidence leads to a good interview, and a good interview results in employment," says Shawn Mahoney, Executive Director for Opportunities for Employment, in a news statement. "This can be the opportunity for up to 900 clients this year, because of the generosity of donors and Moores Clothing for Men."

This year, the company partnered with Nick Cannon as well as Dwane Casey, head coach of the Toronto Raptors, for its Annual Canadian Suit Drive.

The initiative took place throughout the month of July.
