New Era and Colin Kaepernick partner on capsule collection

New Era and San Francisco 49ers Quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, are building on their current relationship with the introduction of the new Pinnacle CK7 collection, named after his initials and jersey number.
 

The two entities first partnered on three 49ers caps in unconventional cap fabrics like wool and leather. The Pinnacle CK7 collection is a representation of the quarterback himself at this point in his career.
 
Each style is inspired by Kaepernick’s competitive spirit and overcoming obstacles. Boxing gloves, the military, luxurious colors and textures were referenced in the collection as well as the idea that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. He also pays homage to his football team with a red and gold cap colorway as well as the NFL’s 50th Super Bowl anniversary.

Kaepernick rose to elite quarterback status when he helped take the San Francisco 49ers to Super Bowl XLVII after stepping in for the injured starting quarterback, Alex Smith. Though the team fell to the Baltimore Ravens by 3 points, Kaepernick instantly became a star landing the covers of VMan and GQ and endorsements, which include New Era.
