The Made in NY campaign is a showcase of 9 New York City-founded, based and inspired brands shot in different locations in New York City, including Tribeca, Bronx Museum of Art, Brooklyn Bridge and Long Island City’s Court Station.

The 9 brands are Prabal Gurung, Public School, Alexis Bittar, Eugenia Kim, Ohne Titel, Rosie Assoulin, Tim Coppens, Chromat and A Morir. The campaign was shot by Zev Starr-Tambor and styled by Sarah Gore Reeves.

Advertisements will be displayed throughout the five New York City boroughs on billboards, taxis, double-decker buses, ferries, street pole banners, newstands and in print and digital media through October 2015.

In February, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said that the city will allocate $15 million to programs and initiatives for New York City-based fashion designers and manufacturers. The city launched the $5 million campaign to promote the program and the semi-annual NYFW (the campaign was initially $1 million).

Other fashion initiatives from Made in NY include a Certification Program that will grant businesses the exclusive right to use the Made in NY mark, and the Made in NY Awards that will honor an individual that has made outstanding contributions to New York City’s fashion industry.
