Haverdash is the latest name to hit the rental subscription service scene, offering millennial-friendly womenswear at an accessible price point.

The New York-based service allows members to rent a box of up to three items at a time, with access to an unlimited number of box swaps and free returns at any time. Priced at a flat-fee of $59 per month, Haverdash shares space with Loft's newly launched rental program, as a more affordable alternative to competitor Rent the Runway, whose monthly fee runs at $100 or $160 depending on membership type.

Haverdash launches with a mix of brands including Sanctuary Clothing, French Connection, Cupcakes and Cashmere, Lush, Moon River and J.O.A., among others.

In a press statement, company executives explained that the service aims to allow members to consistently refresh their pre-existing wardrobes with new trends as they emerge.

"The Haverdash woman is a go-getter, living in the moment and for the moment," commented Jessica Kahan Dvorett, general manager of Haverdash. "She is confident, positive, authentic, and socially engaged."

Haverdash is operated by CaaStle, the tech platform launched by womenswear subscription service Gwynnie Bee in 2018. In addition to its two in-house brands, CaaStle also powers the subscription programs offered by Loft, Ann Taylor, Express and New York & Company, among others.

According to a report published by Allied Market Research, the global online clothing rental market was valued at $1,013 million in 2017, and is estimated to reach $1,856 million by 2023.
