Following the cancelation of Toronto Fashion Week, the Canadian city has seen a slew of new industry events pop-up. Among its latest fashion initiatives, Toronto-based production agency The Collections has launched a new showcase baptized Re/Set. Set to take place February 6 and 7 in Toronto, at The Great Hall, the event will feature a curated group of Canadian designers.

The event has three main objectives; ‘reset’ the schedule to allow designers to connect with buyers, media and consumers via a more flexible model; ‘reform’ tradition through a fresh direction which includes static and showroom models; and to ‘rethink’ Canada’s fashion identity.

“With a refreshed perspective, we’re excited to present an influential group of Canadian designers,” says The Collections, in a news statement. “Re\Set will be instrumental in activating current designer demands while engaging with the creative community to push existing boundaries.”

The event's line-up will include designers such as Vogue’s Designer to Watch, Sid Neigum; Forbes’ 2017 Art and Style ‘30 Under 30’ design duo, Beaufille; Toronto-based duo, Markoo; contemporary womenswear designer Hilary Macmillan; signature avant-garde brand, Pedram Karimi; satirical contemporary street brand WRKDEPT, and menswear lines Thomas Bálint and Klaxon Howl.

The event will also present a two-day showroom featuring ready-to-wear designers including Namesake, Tara Rivas for TMR, S.P. Badu, Triarchy, accessory designers Dean Davidson, Krane, Cuchara, Dolorous, Uncuffed Leather, and shoes by Zvelle.
