Located at Orlando's Waterford Lakes Town Center, the 15,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open in spring 2022 in a part of a former Barnes & Noble store, according to U.S. media reports.

Bowing in November 2020, Nike Unite is Nike's fourth store format in addition to Nike House of Innovation, Nike Rise and Nike Live.

The Nike Unite concept was created by the sportswear giant to "help locals connect more closely with sport," via " new in-and-out-of-store experiences." Steeped in local community, Unite stores focus on local hires and in-store design elements that acknowledge partnerships with hometown athletes and local landmarks.

The Nike Unite store will join several other Nike retail locations in Florida, including Nike Factory Store locations at Orlando International Premium Outlets, Winter Garden Village, Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets, Lake Buena Vista, in Celebration, and at the Tanger Outlets in Daytona Beach.

Nike Clearance Stores are located off International Drive in Orlando and in Kissimmee.

In its most recent trading update, Nike said overall revenue rose 1% to $11.36 billion in the quarter ended November 30, on the back of strong demand in the U.S. its largest market.

Nike's net income rose 7% to $1.34 billion, or 83 cents per share, beating estimates of 63 cents per share, according to Reuters.
