Nike goes gold with Super Bowl 50 celebratory collections

Nike has joined in on the Super Bowl 50 festivities with two celebratory collections, the Super Bowl 50 Nike Gold Collection and the Super Bowl 50 Nike Speed Destroyed Collection.

The Super Bowl 50 Nike Gold Collection consists of men’s and women’s on-field, sideline and training apparel and footwear. The performance footwear includes the Nike Vapor Untouchable 2, which Nike-sponsored athletes are expected to wear at the Super Bowl, the Nike Field General 2, and the Nike Free Trainer 3.0 V4.
 
The apparel portion of the collection featuring men’s, women’s and children’s styles are adorned with the Super Bowl 50 logo and are made with Nike’s patented Dri-Fit fabric and Nike ColorDry technology.

The Super Bowl 50 Nike Speed Destroyed Collection is an active lifestyle capsule that pays homage to the athletes that have broken records in the past. The collection consists of gold versions of Nike’s popular sneaker silhouettes, like the Air Huarache and Air Max 1, as well the Nike Speed Destroyer jacket that is available for both men and women.

The athletic apparel company joins the likes of Levi’s and Timberland that have produced Super Bowl 50 commemorative styles. Both companies will launch their special edition styles on the weekend before the Super Bowl, while Nike is releasing theirs this week. The Speed Destroyed Collection and footwear portion of the Gold Collection launched on January 19 at Nike and NFL’s respective websites and at select retailers, and the Gold Collection apparel will begin to roll out on January 24.
