The famous cream in the round blue tin is about to foray into perfume. For now, though, it will only use Germany as its test market. Which makes sense since it does belong to Beiersdorf, which is based in Hamburg. For a wider market it may also be available in Austria.

"Nivea eau de Toilette" will hit shelves at the end of October.

The perfume will be presented in a white 30 ml bottle, whose shape will mimic the traditional round and flat Nivea cream container. It will be available exclusively at retail outlets that carry Nivea, such as in Spas, stores and online stores.

Although the ingredients in the famous cream continue to be a long-held secret, indeed since its creation in 1911, we do know that the perfume will include notes of lily of the valley, lavender, ylang-ylang, freesia, mandarin and sandalwood.
