"We want to serve our customers in convenient, accessible locations, and are excited to introduce two new Nordstrom Rack stores in Los Angeles [C]ounty at The Vineyards at Porter Ranch and Plaza El Segundo," said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack in a release.

The El Segundo location is a 23,600-square-foot location that will open spring of 2019. It moves in alongside retail neighbors Whole Foods Market, Dick's Sporting Goods and DryBar. Nordstrom Rack will provide "value, fashion and convenience" to the South Bay customer, explained Jeff Kreshek, SVP of leasing for Federal Realty, owner of Plaza El Segundo.

The Porter Ranch location is part of a new 335,000-square-foot mixed use commercial development slated to open in the fall of 2019. The 25,000-square-foot Rack location will sit adjacent to another Whole Foods Market, an AMC Theatres and an Ulta.

"Nordstrom Rack will be part of a sophisticated, pedestrian-oriented retail experience serving as a central gathering spot for a dynamic area of Southern California," said John Love, vice president at Shapell Properties Inc., the developer for The Vineyards at Porter Ranch.

In addition to the two upcoming off-price Rack stores, Nordstrom operates 15 in-line stores in California. It first entered the California market in 1981 at San Diego's Fashion Valley.
