Nordstrom has opened its latest location at The SoNo Collection, an upscale shopping mall in Norwalk, Connecticut.

Opened October 11, the new three-level, 140,000 square-foot location marks the company's second full-line store in Connecticut. Inside, the store plays host to a new service concept, a new beauty and wellness experience, and a wide offering of clothing, shoes and accessories for men, women and children.

Offering a mix of price points, featured brands for women’s apparel include Rag & Bone, Frame, Missoni, Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta, as well as exclusive and limited distribution brands like Madewell and Topshop. In addition, the store offers over 35 ‘Nordstrom Made’ labels -- the retailer’s collection of exclusive in-house brands.

In the women’s footwear category, shoppers can find brands like Nike to Doc Martens and Christian Louboutin, as well as several ‘Nordstrom Exclusive’ styles from names like Valentino, Prada, Golden Goose and Givenchy.

Further boosting the location’s variety of products, the Norwalk store also houses four specialty handbag boutiques from Chloé, Longchamp, Givenchy and Mansur Gavriel

For men, apparel and shoe brands include names like Ksubi, Norse Projects, and Christian Louboutin, Madewell Men, Patagonia and Topman, while the children’s department includes brands like Tucker + Tate, Miles Baby and Mini Boden.

In the updated beauty department, dubbed ‘Nordstrom Beauty Haven,’ shoppers can find a range of beauty, wellness and haircare products in addition to dedicated beauty boutiques for brands like Chanel, Kiehl's, Charlotte Tilbury and La Mer, among others. As a further luxe boost, the department also offers in-store services like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Suite, Base Coat Nail Salon and Light Salon, a light bar offering LED beauty treatments.

In order to provide a modern shopping experience, the store is home to ‘Express Services,’ a new service concept making its debut at the SoNo Collection location.

With its own specific 2,700 square-foot department, Express Services allows customers to pick-up online orders, try them on, issue express returns and access alterations and tailoring services in-store. Additional special services include curbside pickup, personal styling and bra and prosthesis fitters.

The SoNo Collection location makes its debut as Nordstrom gears up for the opening of its highly anticipated first flagship store in New York City, scheduled to open on October 24.

Back in August, the retailer reported a better-than-expected quarterly profit as it cut costs and cleared more inventory, noting a 4% increase in digital sales for the second quarter ended Aug. 3.
