In tandem with its popular Worn Wear program that fixes existing merchandise versus forcing the consumer to purchase a new item, popular outerwear brand Patagonia is launching an official online store that provides shoppers with the opportunity to purchase second-hand gear without a trade in.

The traditional Worn Wear program allows Patagonia clothing owners to bring in merchandise to either be fixed or replaced at a brick-and-mortar store or via an occasional pop-up event. It became so popular that the brand decided to launch an online portal.

Worn Wear items on the e-commerce store (from shorts and pants to vests and jackets) range from approximately $40-$120, while the main Patagonia website retails items for $100 to an upwards of $350 or higher — but with a much larger range of styles and sizes. Regardless, the goal of the program is to take their reuse and recycle program to the next level.

The Worn Wear program also takes in-store trade-ins of which consumers receive a credit ranging from $30-$100 to be used on used or new Patagonia merchandise.
