The restructure sees Richard Newcombe, currently president of the footwear division, become president, EMEA. According to a press release, Newcombe’s expanded remit - he will continue to lead the footwear division - now also encompasses increasing brand presence and sales across priority EMEA markets.

His appointment comes as Pentland reveals that Carl Davis is leaving his post as president, EMEA & Americas at the end of the month.

Chirag Patel, currently chief operating officer, will combine his current role with being responsible for the Pentland Brands business in the Americas as deputy chief executive officer. Andy Long continues as CEO.

Commenting on the reshuffle, Andy Long said: “Following our business transformation and our recent brand acquisitions, the exec team roles will focus on delivering international growth, while making sure that our brands continue to evolve and respond to the fast-changing needs of our retailers and consumers.

“Chirag and Richard’s additional responsibilities are an acknowledgment of the significant impact they have had, and the pivotal role they play in leading our organisation.”

The owner of brands including Speedo, Berghaus, Canterbury of New Zealand and Endura is currently searching for a chief marketing officer, who will take responsibility for strategy, product and marketing across the brand portfolio.

Matt Rock continues as president, Asia Pacific and global supply chain, Katrina Nurse, who joined the business from Selfridges in 2018, continues as chief finance officer and Katrina Wright continues in her role as chief HR officer.
