Ralph Lauren has joined the fashion community in its support for the struggle against Covid-19, with a multi-faceted $10 million donation.

In a series of commitments, the Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation will aid the World Health Organization's Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund, and provide financial grants for all Ralph Lauren colleagues facing special circumstances like medical, eldercare or childcare needs.

“At the heart of our company, there has always been a spirit of togetherness that inspires our creativity, our confidence and most importantly: our support for one another. In the past weeks and months, that spirit has never wavered,” said Lauren, executive chairman and chief creative officer, in a release on Thursday.

The American designer will also extend his 20-year commitment to cancer care through his Pink Pony Fund, which supports international cancer institutions that tend to people with cancer – the latter being especially vulnerable at this time.

Plus, Lauren’s foundation will make an inaugural gift to the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) / Vogue Fashion Fund for Covid-19 relief, which was launched this week, to support the American fashion community.

“We believe that no matter who you are or where you are from, we are all connected. That is why we are taking significant action to help our teams and communities through this crisis,” added America’s single most famous designer.

"In addition, the Ralph Lauren Corporation is starting the production of 250,000 masks and 25,000 isolation gowns with our U.S. manufacturing partners," stated the brand.

“We recognize that this is an unprecedented, multifaceted crisis which demands different responses for different needs in different places. That is why we are funding multiple activities to support our teams, our partners and our communities around the world,” said Patrice Louvet, president and chief executive officer.
