Rebag to open new California store

Luxury handbag marketplace and reseller Rebag is expanding its retail presence in California with the opening of its newest store in Arcadia. 

Located in Arcadia's Westfield Santa Anita mall at 400 S. Baldwin Avenue, the store marks the company's sixth brick-and-mortar location in the United States. Like Rebag's other stores, the Santa Anita location features the Rebag Bar; an area where customers can sell their bags for cash or use Rebag Infinity to exchange a previous purchase for at least 70 percent of its original price; as well as a wall of coveted Hermès Birkin bags.

“When planning our retail expansion, we listen to our customers,” says Charles Gorra, Rebag's CEO and founder. “I am particularly excited for Rebag in Westfield Santa Anita in order to expand our reach outside of the immediate Los Angeles area to a brand conscious community.”

The Santa Anita store opening follows Rebag's recent $25 million round of Series C funding. Launched in 2014, the company has since raised a total of $52 million in capital.

According to a press release, Rebag plans to increase its portfolio of brick-and-mortar locations to 30 in the medium term, including both stand-alone stores and locations inside luxury malls.

In addition to its physical stores, Rebag operates its luxury handbag services through its mobile app and online at rebag.com.
