The Refinery Hotel wants a makeover. The hotel launched a competition between four New York Men’s Day designers for the chance to design new uniforms for the staff at Refinery Rooftop.

Participating brands Bristol, David Naman, R. Swaider and Uri Minkoff each released sketches to be considered for the competition, and the public will select the winner. The public has until March 10 to vote for their favorite sketch, and the designer with the most likes will be granted the opportunity to design the new uniforms. The new looks will debut at the hotel’s Refinery Rooftop this spring.

Refinery Rooftop kicked off NYFW: Men’s last week by hosting the official New York Men's Day after party. The event included a mannequin takeover of top looks from NYMD this season, and guests who purchased one of the looks on display at the hotel received a 25% discount on a made-to-order style.

Many hotels have partnered with fashion designers and brands on initiatives in recent years. In 2015, CFDA designers Misha NoNoo, Dezso and Isa Tapia designed a collection exclusively for the W Vieques Hotel in Puerto Rico, and in 2016, Kit and Ace and Apolis held pop up shops at hotels.

In addition, Timo Weiland in September 2016 was named Style Director for the Crowne Plaza Brand in the Americas, and in February, the hotel launched the new Timo Weiland designed uniforms.

Voters can head to the Refinery Rooftop Facebook page to vote for their favorite design.
