Retrosuperfuture and Andy Warhol partner on third eyewear frame

Retrosuperfuture launched on Thursday its third collaboration eyewear frame with The Andy Warhol Foundation.

The four Iconic silhouette colors from the Super Andy Warhol collection

Super Andy Warhol presents two timeless frames—an optical frame in slightly tinted crystal acetate and sunglasses in Warhol’s signature silver hue. The optical is a rounded, tinted crystal acetate frame with pear-shaped lenses and the sunglass style is an acetate frame in a deep silver coating—silver being Warhol’s favorite color—with tempered flat glass lenses made by Italian manufacturer Barberini.

The collection also features the Iconic silhouette in four colors—black, classic, tortoise and black matte. The four models feature flat tempered glass lenses by Barberini as well.

Retrosuperfuture and The Andy Warhol Foundation first partnered in 2014 with a collection of sunglass frames adorned with a collage of Warhol photo reproductions. The second collection that released in 2015 was inspired by ink drawings developed by Warhol in 1957, and the collection was available exclusively at the MOMA Design Store in New York City and on the Retrosuperfuture website.

Super Andy Warhol is available now on the Retrosuperfuture website.
