It's official -- super songstress turned designer Rihanna will show her third Fenty Puma by Rihanna collection in Paris for fall 2017. The star posted the announcement on her Facebook page Friday morning, which immediately ricocheted around the fashion and footwear press.

"PaRIH x 2. Rihanna will show her AW17 collection with PUMA in paris on March 6," said the post, but no details of the venue were mentioned. Last season the Barbadian singer debuted her fashion line in Paris in a grand affair at the 19th-century mansion, the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild. Social media immediately dubbed it "Marie Antoinette at the gym," responding to the mix of pinks, corsets, lace and streetwear.

Rihanna chose New York for the showing of her first Fenty x Puma fall 2016 collection, a star-studded event that took place at 23 Wall Street during NYFW in February last year. There too, the location set the theme, the clothes mostly in black and white, lots of linear lines and a decidedly Goth look. Does choosing to stage another runway in the French capital mean she wants to continue the more feminine direction she took last season?

While Rihanna does not officially collaborate with anyone for these collections, the fashion press muses about who might be her current influence. WWD noted that Adam Selman, an off-and-on collaborator to the pop star, was backstage at the Paris spring 2017 show and that the pink-frills-meets-street-look fit nicely with his design aesthetic. No announcements about any collaborators for the March show have been made.
