Robert Redford's Sundance brings new store to Fairfax, Virginia

Sundance, the lifestyle retailer founded by actor and director Robert Redford, has opened its newest store in Fairfax, Virginia.

This store, located in the Mosaic District, offers a range of men's and women's apparel, footwear, jewelry, accessories, art, and home décor, will kick off its grand opening weekend celebration on November 1.

Located in one of the top five richest counties in the United States, representatives at Sundance said that the Mosaic District is "experiencing tremendous growth in both industry and culture" that will be a boon to the new store. 

"Sundance takes great pride in celebrating the spirit of freedom, independence and creativity," said Sundance CEO Matey Erdos.

"Fairfax is a clear fit for the Sundance brand through our mutual appreciation for independent and creative expression[...] the store is thoughtfully curated with the exclusive and quality product the brand is known for."

Incorporating a commitment to the arts into the brand since its founding in 1989, Sundance will donate a percentage of the proceeds made during the Fairfax store's grand opening to McLean Project for the Arts, a non-profit committed to supporting the arts in the mid-Atlantic region.

Erdos remarked, "Sundance supports the mission and work of the McLean Project for the Arts. We celebrate like-minded organizations who advance great artists of the future by offering a platform to experience the power of art and to be exposed to art education. We look forward to a longstanding relationship with McLean." 

The newest store joins other Sundance flagships in Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon, California, Georgia, Tennessee and Illinois.

The retailer said it plans to continue to expand throughout the country over the next several years.
