On the lookout for new growth drivers, board sport brands are increasingly eyeing sports trends outside their own backyard. Reebok Crossfit, Nike training or Lolë be advised.

After DC came out with athletic shoes for the gym and O'Neill is vying for the attention of active women with its 365 line, now it is Roxy’s turn to leave the beach and descend from the snowy slopes.

Already in 2009, the Quicksilver group's women's brand tested a line called Roxy Athletix. The Outdoor Fitness collection is now their next step. So far the news is that it will be launched for the 2013 spring-summer season in North America before its European debut the following season.

The line was presented at the Outdoor Retailer fair in the United States where the U.S. press could have a look at water sports attire as well as running shorts, yoga pants, sports bras or even backpacks designed for active outdoor sports.
