The appointments follow the company's announcement of its brand relaunch earlier this month, kicked off with the unveiling of a new brand identity and multimedia campaign, as well as a revitalized store experience in certain locations and new influencer and rewards programs.

In his role, Metz will lead the growth plan of all North American digital commerce businesses, including the websites for Sally Beauty and Cosmo Prof, mobile apps, portals, integrations with physical retail stores and third-party online marketplaces.

Metz comes to Sally Beauty with two decades' experience in helping organizations build digital commerce capabilities that led to increased revenue while maximizing customer engagement and loyalty, the company said, most recently serving as chief marketing and digital officer with Stuller.

Previously, he has also gained e-commerce leadership experience as the vice president of e-commerce at Cache, director of e-commerce at Ulta Beauty and general manager consumer direct at Yankee Candle, among other roles.

In her role, Lakshmi will be responsible for the digital guest experience and digital product roadmap across all Sally Beauty Holdings digital activities. She joins Sally Beauty with over 10 years' experience in in-store and online product management, most recently serving as senior director of digital product management at Walmart.

Previously, she has also held roles as director of e-commerce site operations at Pier 1, manager of digital commerce support at Academy Sports + Outdoors, and digital commerce quality assurance manager at HSNi-Cornerstone Brands Inc.

"We are thrilled to add [Metz and Lakshmi] to the team to start leveraging their extensive expertise in e-commerce as Sally Beauty continues its digital transformation," said Chris Brickman, chief executive of Sally Beauty Holdings.

"They will take us to the next level in our drive for a consumer-driven digital environment that operates seamlessly in partnership with our stores and supply chain."
