Self Portrait launches new campaign starring Irina Shayk

Self Portrait has unveiled its latest campaign with the London-based label picking one of the world’s highest-profile models — Irina Shayk — as it star.

She’s the latest in a string of big names that the brand has featured in its campaigns with Bella Hadid, Kate Moss and actor Phoebe Dynevor having been previous collection stars.

Shayk wears pieces from its Resort 22 collection in a shoot by previous Self Portrait collaborator Harley Weir. The company said the shoot “reveals a romantic and sensual side of the modern Self Portrait woman". 

The label’s founder and creative chief Han Chong said Shayk “has this incredible natural balance of strength and femininity - she has this infectious independence and sense of who she is, and epitomises these different sides of what it means to be a woman, which I really wanted to capture with this campaign and collection. She is romantic yet powerful and sensual yet vulnerable, all at the same time”.

The Resort collection that’s dropping now features “relaxed designs, with a focus on knitwear and jersey styles”. And to further support the launch, Chong is hosting an event alongside British Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful and Shayk on 28 October in London.
