Footwear brand Sorel has opened its first pop-up shop in Toronto.

Running until mid-January of next year, Sorel General Manager David Brulé said the pop-up is expected to be a strong platform for the brand and will allow consumers to see its full selection of year-round footwear.

The store offers an intimate shopping experience and personalized service from in-store footwear experts.

Located at 356 King Street West, just steps away from the TIFF Bell Lightbox, the pop-up also coincides with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), whom Sorel is the official footwear sponsor for.

"Through our partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival we are able to bring this unique and unexpected shopping experience to the market. Combining Sorel's heritage and the buzz that surrounds TIFF, this partnership is a natural fit between two outstanding brands that will generate energy and excitement for the season," added Brulé.

The all-season footwear brand is well-known for its premium boots, which launched the business founded in Canada, in 1962.

Columbia Sportswear Co. bought the rights to the trademark for $11.8-million in 2002, at a time when the company’s founder was facing bankruptcy.

Since then, the company has delved into all-season footwear with a function-first and fashion forward approach including sneakers, wedges and block heels.
