As of Friday online, and popping-up through October, Space Nk will offer a “shop-in-shop” concept within Hudson’s Bay flagship stores in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. The locations will house an assortment of some of the most covetable indy and premium brands, which are equally now available on thebay.com and the Hudson’s Bay App.

“This is a beauty game-changer for the Canadian consumer. With a digital-first approach, Space NK brings innovative and sought-after brands to The Bay,” said Jo Osborne, SVP Beauty at The Bay. “This transformative partnership reflects how we are innovating and expanding our beauty experience, for every Canadian, at every stage in their beauty journey.”

Together, the duo collaborated to curate an experience that spans skincare, haircare, and makeup. The assortment will launch with 17 brands never carried before at The Bay, including Sunday Riley, Aesop, Tata Harper, Chantecaille and Boy Smells, with plans to scale the partnership to include more brands in the coming months.

Moreover, the partnershi will include the opening of Space NK hair care 'towers' in 25 Hudson’s Bay department stores across Canada. Likewise, “discovery” is said to be at the core of the experience on thebay.com and will reflect the look and elevated feel that Space NK is known for.

“Our ability to act as the 'curator' of some of the world’s most desired beauty brands uniquely places us to support the beauty businesses of our retail partners,” added Noah Rosenblatt, Space NK’s president, North America.

“The Bay’s customer profile and presence in the market make them the perfect partner to expand our department store business in Canada.”

Most recently, Hudson’s Bay has undertaken an expansion of its offering for Millennial and Gen Z shoppers. In June, fast-fashion chain Forever 21 returned to Canada via the Hudson’s Bay. It also introduced brands such as Mango Men, Sanctuary, Sweaty Betty, AFRM, Rollas Denim, and more, over the last year.
