The new store located on Mulberry Street will be 275 square feet, and it will be designed similar to the brand’s Stockholm flagship store that opened this year. Stutterheim plans to open the retail location by late spring, and the store will carry the brand’s full collection, including its signature mac coat.

Founded in 2010, Stutterheim describes itself as Swedish melancholy. The outerwear brand references Swedish heritage with water resistant and waterproof pieces inspired by parkas that sailors and fisherman would wear to endure the harsh weather conditions. This year, the Swedish brand expanded into the women’s market after gaining popularity with the female customer. Stutterheim is offering feminine cuts of its signature pieces.

The outerwear brand is available in several retailers worldwide including Harvey Nichols, Dover Street Market, Barneys New York, Nordstrom and Steven Alan among others. The brand has taken part in several collaborations in recent years, including a special collaboration with Barneys and Jay Z.
