The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts announced on Monday it will hold for a second year the event BIJOUX=ART, from March 18 to 20.

The event will exhibit and sell contemporary art jewellery from some twenty jewellers from Quebec and around the world. Over 600 pieces for both women and men will be on display and available for purchase.

The featured jewellers were selected by Noel Guyomarc'h, director of Galerie Noel Guyomarc'h. They were selected from Canada, Germany, Netherlands, the United States, England, Israel, South Korea, Australia and Japan.

The initiative is the only one of its kind in Canada and was inspired by similar events in North America, including those at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York and the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach.

The three-day event will kick off with a benefit evening on March 17 for ticket holders.

BIJOUX=ART will be open to the public and there will be free access during the Museum’s business hours.
