The North Face and Brain Dead unveil hippy-inspired streetwear collab

VF-owned apparel band The North Face has unveiled a streetwear capsule collection with Los Angeles-based creative collective and brand, Brain Dead.

The North Face x Brain Dead

Consisting of nine winter-ready pieces, the collection finds inspiration in The North Face’s Californiam roots, as well as the free-thinking spirit of the Bay Area in the 1960s and 70s, infused with Brain Dead’s colorful graphic aesthetic.

Featuring psychedelic prints and graphic details, the capsule consists of long-sleeve tops, pants, and new versions of The North Face’s Denali, Nuptse and Mountain jacket models designed with a Brain Dead twist.

“Drawing on the concept of adventure as a state of mind, Brain Dead reimagined some of The North Face’s most iconic pieces,” Brain Dead wrote in a post on Instagram.

“The result is a capsule celebrating the counterculture and renaissance of creativity of the California hippy movement.”

The Brain Dead x The North Face collaboration will launch on November 29 at Dover Street Market in Los Angeles, and will become available the following week at select retailers, HBX, and online at thenorthface.com and wearebraindead.com. Prices range from $50 to $500.

The collaboration marks the North Face’s latest streetwear collaboration this year, following the October release of its second collaboration with Supreme.
