Toronto university fashion blog launches first print publication
May 3, 2016
Student-run fashion blog StyleCircle from Toronto’s Ryerson University officially launched its first annual print publication last month.
The print publication baptized The Book by StyleCircle is intended to be a once-a-year publication, which highlights current issues facing the Canadian and international fashion industries.
“The Book by StyleCircle is not a typical fashion magazine. The magazine offers more of a critical outlook on the industry while remaining a diverse, thoughtful and aesthetically-focused publication,” says Bronwyn Marshall, co-president of Style Circle and The Book by StyleCircle, in a news statement.
Through articles and photography created by Ryerson students, the magazine’s contents discuss topics such as the effects of the fast fashion system, traditional notions of beauty and more.
The magazine is run and founded by third year fashion design and communication students Millie Yates and Bronwyn Marshal.
The Book by StyleCircle is now available for custom order or for purchase at the Ryerson University Campus Bookstore in Toronto, for $15.
